A/Prof Tan will deliver a presentation on the benefits of double-ring wound retractor in C-section cases as compared to conventional metallic retractors. In this talk he will be discussing the role of wound retractor in improving clinical outcomes such as reducing incidences of Surgical Site Infection, patients’ pain score, wound bruising, etc. At the same time, he will be demonstrating the ease of delivery and better patients’ safety with use of wound retractor in C-section.
The reduction in complication rate allows cost effectiveness and improved patients’ satisfaction.
