Biography
Dr. Fu Shaowei is an R&D Scientist at Applied Materials, where he leads the development of cutting-edge Automated Optical Inspection systems for pharmaceutical products. Prior to his role at Applied Materials, he spent seven years at the Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre, A*STAR, actively contributing to industry-focused projects in optical metrology, inline inspection, and AI-enhanced machine vision.
His main research interests are in the field of optical inspection, surface metrology, and precision instrumentation.
Dr. Fu received his Ph.D. in Surface Metrology and Precision Instrumentation from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and holds the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
