Biography
Dr. Xinxing Xia is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Mechatronic Engineering and Automation, Shanghai University, China. Before joining Shanghai University, he worked as a research fellow at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. He did his PhD in optical engineering at Zhejiang University, China. Dr. Xia’s research activities are focused on VR/AR, near-eye displays, and 3D displays. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed papers and presented their research findings at conferences worldwide. He also has granted 19 Chinese invention patents an d 3 US invention patents. He serves as the peer reviewer of Optics Letters, Optics Express, Applied Optics, and Displays. He also serves as the Publication Chair of the IEEE International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality (ISMAR 2020, 2022, and 2023).
