Dr Sabrina Haroon WONG Dr Sabrina Haroon Wong is a consultant in Division of Nephrology and associate program director of the haemodialysis program at National University Hospital. She is Medical director of NUH Renal Center and Fresenius Medical Care Clinics in the NUH-FMC Collaboration. Her clinical area of interest are home and self care haemodialysis, incremental dialysis and dialysis in high risk patients. She is the core faculty for NUH Renal Senior Residency. In research, she is the primary investigator for National Medical Research Council grant for clinical trial to treat vascular calcification with vitamin K.

Prof Vivek Jha Professor Vivekanand Jha is the Executive Director of the George Institute India, Professor of Nephrology at the University of Oxford, UK and the President of the International Society of Nephrology. He did MD (Internal Medicine) and DM (Nephrology) at PGIMER, joined its faculty and was the Professor of Nephrology. He set up a basic science research lab including the Stem Cell Research Facility and was Head of the Department of Translational and Regenerative Medicine.

Dr Sunita Bavanandan Dr.Sunita Bavanandan is a Consultant Nephrologist and Head of the Department of Nephrology, Hospital Kuala Lumpur. She graduated from the University of Queensland Australia in December, 1991 and served her internship at Princess Alexandra Hospital and Royal Brisbane Hospital. She obtained her qualifications as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians United Kingdom in 1997 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh in 2007. From 2003-2004 she obtained further training at the Leicester General Hospital, United Kingdom, and was also attached to the Hypertension Unit at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. She is a member of the Guidelines Development Committee for the Malaysian CPG on Management of Hypertension and the CPG on Management of Chronic Kidney Disease in Adults. She has contributed to the Malaysian Ministry of Health Guidelines on Renal Replacement Therapy, is a chapter editor for both the Malaysian Dialysis and Transplant Registry and the Malaysian Registry of Renal Biopsy. Her special interests are in Chronic Kidney Disease, Hypertension , Diabetic Kidney Disease and Peritoneal Dialysis. She is the current President of the Malaysian Society of Nephrology.

Prof Masaomi Nangaku Masaomi Nangaku is a professor and head of the division of nephrology and endocrinology, the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Medicine, and a vice president of the University of Tokyo Hospital. He is a president-elect of the Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology (APSN). He is also an executive councilor of the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and a vice president of the Japanese Society of Nephrology (JSN). He has published more than 240 original articles and 80 reviews articles in international journals, and has given 90 invited talks at international academic meetings. He served as a member of Scientific Program Committees of WCN, ISN-NEXUS, ASN, and APCN. He served as a chair of the Scientific Program Committee of APCN 2016. He is currently serving as a chair of the program committee of the World Congress of Nephrology in Australia and as a co-organizer of Keystone Symposia, “Unraveling the Secrets of Kidney Disease” in Canada. He is a member of the editorial board of many prestigious journals, and is currently serving as an associate editor of Kidney International.

Dr Siribha Changsirikulchai Dr. Siribha Changsirikulchai is an Associate Professor of Nephrology at Faculty of Medicine, Srinakharinwirot University, Thailand. She is a senior consultant nephrologist and chief of Division of Nephrology at the HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Medical Center which is a university-based hospital at Nakhonnayok province. She has been members in committees involved in academic activities and policy management such as the Royal College Physicians of Thailand, Nephrology Society of Thailand, National Health Security Office, Renal service plan of region 4. She is interested in improving quality of care for patients with kidney diseases. She developed an electronic database named DPEX (Database of Peritoneal dialysis in EXcel) for PD units use to monitor outcomes of peritoneal dialysis. Currently, she developed another electronic database named STAR (Start To Alert chronic Renal disease) for health care personnel to monitor patients with chronic kidney disease who used NSAIDs or herbs. She has been co-investigators in multicenter study in national and international levels, for example a cohort of CKD patients with high risk for cardiovascular events or renal disease progression, Thailand Glomerular Research Network, ASEAN PD Registry, SEA-GN. She also dedicated to review articles submitted to Nephrology, Peritoneal Dialysis International, and BMC nephrology journals.

Prof Chen Hung Chun Prof. Hung-Chun Chen is currently the professor of medicine at the department of nephrology, Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital, Taiwan, and is also the honorary president of Taiwan Society of Nephrology. He got his MD and PhD degree in Kaohsiung Medical University, and was also the PhD of Juntendo University of Tokyo, Japan. He devoted to CKD education since 2002, and has collected more than 8,000 cases for CKD education in a single unit. His unit is the first authorized CKD patient education center in Taiwan by National Health Bureau. He founded the department of renal care in medical college of Kaohsiung Medical University in 2003, in which nurses received CKD training for three years and become a professional CKD educator. More than 600 nurses completed the course up to now and become the key persons for CKD prevention in Taiwan. His group was awarded by the government with a “Symbol of National Quality” for CKD care from 2007 to 2018. He organized the 3rd Asian Forum of CKD Initiative (AFCKDI) in Kaohsiung in 2009 to promote CKD education and prevention, and attracted 1,000 participants from 21 countries. He also organized the Annual Conference of ISHD in 2012, ISPD-Asia Pacific Chapter Meeting in 2013, Asian Renal Association-Asian Colloquium in Nephrpology in 2015, and International Conference of Chinese Nephrologists in 2017. He got many awards from both Kaohsiung Medical University and Taiwan Society of Nephrology, and published more than 350 papers. He was regularly invited as a speaker for CKD prevention in Taiwan and many Asian countries in recent years, and is the core member for many renal associations including the Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology, Chinese American Society of Nephrology, and International Association of Chinese Nephrologists.

Prof Joanne Bargman
Joanne Bargman is a staff nephrologist at the University Health Network and Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. She received her MD cum laude from the University of Toronto. She was an exchange fellow in Melbourne for her senior medical residency year, and then pursued nephrology training at Stanford University. Her research focused on renal physiology and micropuncture. Upon returning to Toronto, she was recruited to the Toronto Western Hospital where she trained in peritoneal dialysis under Dimitrios Oreopoulos. She has more than 700 invited lectures internationally, on subjects as diverse as peritoneal dialysis, glomerulonephritis, and management of systemic lupus erythematosus. She is Director of Peritoneal Dialysis for the University Health Network in Toronto, President of the International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis 2012-2014, and co-director of the Combined Renal-Rheumatology Lupus Clinic for the University Health Network.

He is a nephrologist with more than 30 years of experience and has been working with NKFS for last 23 years. Ms Agnes Cheung Ms Agnes CHEUNG received her nursing education at The School of General Nursing, Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), Hong Kong. Subsequently, she also completed her training in Nephrology nursing in Hospital Authority. She obtained her Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) in 1995 & attained her Master of Science (Nursing Studies) in Hong Kong. She worked as a renal nurse in QEH since1995 & she is now the Nurse Consultant in Renal Care of QEH. Agnes now is Member of Home Haemodialysis (HD) Working Group of Hong Kong Hospital Authority & also Council member of the Hong Kong Association of Renal Nurses (HKARN). In 2006, Nocturnal Home Haemodialysis (NHHD) service was introduced to Hong Kong. Agnes receiving her training in Canada in 2007 & took up all the challenges in setting up this new treatment program for patients at QEH in the same year. Now QEH has trained more than 100 patients & the service has proven to be successful with the highest number of patients amongst all clusters.

Dr Lim Paik Shia Dr. Lim Paik Shia graduated with Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Singapore in 2013. She was trained in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Practice at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, United States in the fields of endocrinology, palliative care and ambulatory hemodialysis. Paik Shia is also a board certified pharmacotherapist. Her clinical interests include endocrinology in particularly inpatient diabetes management and diabetic kidney disease, and hemodialysis. Her research interest includes advances in pharmacotherapy for diabetic kidney disease, hypoglycemia and evidence-based multidisciplinary practice model.

Ms Tang Woon Hoe Tang Woon Hoe started the NKF PD Community Support Programme with a team of nurses in 2011. Her work focuses on enabling PD choice by closing the PD support gap in the community in partnership with the hospitals. The Programme provides patient-centred, comprehensive and structured home-based PD support which is warmly received by the patients as well as the PD programmes in hospitals. The Programme won the ILTC good practice award in ILTC Excellence Award 2014 and Best Team Merit award in SHQSA 2018.

Ms Kelly Lim I am currently an Advanced Practice Nurse intern, specialising in Renal after my graduation. Prior to this, I have been working as a registered nurse for the last 13 years in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). In 2011, I underwent an advanced diploma course in critical care specialty. I went on to join the TTSH Renal Unit as one of their Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) nurse in 2012. Besides focusing on nursing tasks to sustain the PD program, I also had the opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team during my work. I was an active member in quality improvement projects which focused on improving the rates of peritonitis and exit site infections.

Ms Ong Shih Hui Shih Hui is currently the Programme Manager for the national kidney disease retardation programme known as HALT-CKD (Holistic Approach to Lowering and Tracking Chronic Kidney Disease) at NUHS. She leads a team of coordinators at NUP. Prior to this, she was the Programme Manager for the NEMO (Nephrology Evaluation, Management and Optimization) Programme, which was a collaboration between NUH and NHGP to delay diabetic kidney disease progression in NHGP.

Dr Timothy Koh Dr Timothy Koh is a consultant with the Department of Renal Medicine, Tan Tock Seng Hospital Singapore. He is also currently an Adjunct Assitant Professor, Yong Yoo Lin School of Medicine. He obtained his MBBS from the Faculty of Medicine, the National University of Singapore in 2003 and obtained his MCRP (UK) and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) in 2008. He obtained his specialist accreditation in renal medicine from the Ministry of Health, Singapore 2012, He was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan Award in 2014, and underwent a year-long fellowship in Home Haemodialysis Program in Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and is the Medical Director of the Ang Mo Kio Thye Hua Kwan Hospital Dialysis Centre., He is also a core clinical faculty member of the National Healthcare Group Renal Medicine Residency Programme.

Dr Lim Su-Fee Dr Lim is an Advanced Practice Nurse in Rehabilitation Medicine at the Singapore General Hospital. She majors in advanced clinical nursing practice of rehabilitation care. She also devotes much of her time to the teaching of nurses in the area of rehabilitation and community nursing. She was awarded a few scholarships and underwent rehabilitation nursing training at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, USA in 2002 and Veterans Affair, Houston, USA in 2006 and Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Centre & Duke University School of Nursing, Durham, USA in 2014. As an Advanced Practice Nurse in Rehabilitation, her role focuses on meeting patient healthcare needs by maximizing the delivery of nursing and health care services.

Ms Pindar Yu Ms Pindar Yu is a Senior Principal Dietitian with the Department of Dietetics, Singapore General Hospital. She graduated with a Bachelor in Pharmacy (Hons) from University of Sydney, a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics from University of Sydney, Australia and a Master of Science in Health Sciences from Warwick University, UK. Her current clinical responsibilities include managing patients with CKD Stage 1-5 with special interest in peritoneal dialysis. She is a certified nutrition support clinician (CNSC). Her other clinical responsibilities include the nutritional management of critically ill patients. She is also involved in training of dietitians and dietetic students.

Ms Faith Wong Ms Faith Wong is currently a Senior Medical Social Worker with the Medical Social Services of Singapore General Hospital. She has more than 10 years’ experience working with patients suffering from chronic renal disease, and leads a team of Renal Medical Social Workers to provide psychosocial assessment and support to help patients and family along their illness trajectory. Faith works extensively with community organizations to manage patients’ complex treatment and psychosocial needs so as to facilitate their integration back into the community. She is also a member of the department’s suicide intervention team providing suicide risk assessment and psychosocial support to patients with suicidal ideation or attempt.

A/Prof Adrian Liew Dr Adrian Liew is a Senior Consultant Nephrologist at the Department of Renal Medicine in Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. He is an associate professor of medicine and is the renal medicine curriculum lead for the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at the Nanyang Technological University-Imperial College London. He is an elected council member of the International Society of Nephrology (ISN), the elected Secretary and Executive of the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis, and the Chair of the OSEA Regional Board for the ISN. He has also been appointed the Chair of the Renal Disaster Preparedness Workgroup of the ISN and the Chair of the national HALT-CKD Program in Singapore. He serves in his professional capacity as a Senior Consultant of the Ministry of Health, Singapore and as a member of various national advisory committees. He is the associate editor of the Nephrology Journal and is involved in various international clinical guidelines workgroups, including chairing the Asia-Pacific Society of Nephrology Diabetic Guidelines, and being a member of the KDIGO Guidelines on Glomerulonephritis and Diabetic Kidney Disease. He is also the national leader, member of steering committees and principal investigator of various international multi-centre trials.

Dr Sreekanth Koduri Dr Sreekanth Koduri obtained his primary medical degree (MBBS) from India and completed his advanced medical training in the United Kingdom. He obtained MRCP (UK) in 2005 and trained as a renal registrar in the London deanery completing his CCST in 2011. He subsequently joined as Consultant in Renal Medicine at the Lister Hospital , Stevenage, UK, where he pursued Interventional Nephrology until 2014.

Dr Manish Kaushik Dr Manish Kaushik completed his graduation and senior residency in Internal Medicine in India, following which he worked in New Delhi and Saudi Arabia. He joined Singapore General Hospital in 2002 and after completing his training in Nephrology at Singapore General Hospital, he joined the Department of Renal Medicine at SGH in 2010.
