  Call for Abstract


 

The organising committee of the 18th Asian Colloquium in Nephrology (18th ACN 2019 ) invites you to submit abstracts of original and most up-to-date research related to nephrology.

Abstracts must be submitted electronically through the 18th ACN 2019 website at www.asiannephrology.com. Before you can submit your abstract, you have to create an account. The Final Extension /Late-Breaking Abstracts Submission deadline is on Tuesday, 30 April 2019, 23:59 hours SGT. Abstracts received after this date will not be accepted.

The Organising Committee invites participants to submit abstracts of original scientific work that have not been presented before for oral and/or poster presentation.

A.GENERAL RULES

1.Types of Presentation

  1. Oral Presentations
    Presenters have 8 minutes to present, and 2 minutes for discussion.

  2. Poster Presentations
    There will be a dedicated area for posters and ample breaks during the programme for interaction with poster presenters.
2.Abstract Receipt Confirmation
  1. Upon successful submission, authors will receive an automated acknowledgement via email.

  2. Lack of acknowledgement will indicate that the abstract was not received. Please contact us if the abstract you submitted is not followed by an acknowledgement.

  3. Final Extension/ Late-Breaking Abstracts must be received by:
    • Closing Date: Tuesday, 30 April 2019, 23:59 hours, SGT

  4. Abstracts received after this date will not be accepted.
3.Notification of Acceptance
  1. The Presenting Author of each abstract accepted will be notified by email.

  1. It may also be found on “Abstract Page” of the Congress website. Simply log in using your username and password, set previously, to view your abstract.
4.Publication
  1. Upon acceptance of your abstract, the presenting author must register for the Congress to present at the Oral Session or Poster Presentation.

  2. The abstract will be published on the Congress Website and Congress Mobile App only if the presenting author is registered, and full payment received by Friday, 31 May 2019, 23:59 hours. SGT.

  3. Abstracts will be published as submitted.

B. HOW TO SEND ABSTRACTS

  1. Abstracts can only be submitted via the website. Abstracts sent by post or email will not be accepted.
  2. Authors can submit their abstracts online at: www.asiannephrology.com.

C. GENERAL SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  1. All abstracts must be submitted via the Congress Website at www.asiannephrology.com only.
  2. Abstracts must be in English only.
  3. Describe the objectives and results of the research in the abstract so that the Scientific Committee of 18th ACN 2019 can evaluate the quality, originality, and completeness of the abstract.
  4. Please note that your submission must be completed before the submission deadline to be considered for the Congress.
  5. After submission of abstract and before the closing date, you may continue to edit the abstract. No editing of the submitted abstract will be allowed after the respective closing dates.
  6. Abstracts will be judged solely on the basis of the data submitted.
  7. Total word count of not more than 300 words for each abstract.
    1. Abstracts are to be submitted online at: www.asiannephrology.com.
    2. List no more than 8 individual authors/co-authors for each abstract.
    3. The name of the institution(s) to which the work should be attributed; the department which the authors/co-authors are working with, city and country; and the contact information i.e., e-mail address of first author/presenter as well as all the co-authors.

Please indicate the sub-theme upon submission of your abstract. The abstract should be 300 words or less (excluding title, authors’ names and institution details) and submitted in a structured format with complete sentences. Please do indicate your preference for either oral or poster presentation.


E. ABSTRACT CONTENT

Please make the abstract as informative as possible, and support your conclusions with data. Abstracts should be structured to include the following four sections:

  1. Objective: indicates the purpose of the study.
  2. Method: describe pertinent experimental procedures.
  3. Results: summarise the results of the research.
  4. Conclusions: states the main conclusions.

Please use standard abbreviations, generic drug names, and place unusual abbreviations or acronyms in parentheses after first use. Do NOT identify author(s) or institution(s) in the text.
