The organising committee of the 13th Asia Pacific Congress of Hypertension (APCH 2017) invites you to submit abstracts of original and most up-to-date research related to hypertension.

Abstracts must be submitted electronically through the APCH 2017 website at www.apch2017.org. Before you can submit your abstract, you have to create an account. We are pleased to announce that the deadline for the late-breaking abstract submission is on Thursday, 31 August 2017 in response to numerous requests and due to the increased interest in APCH 2017. Abstracts received after this date will not be accepted.

The Organising Committee invites participants to submit abstracts of original scientific work that have not been presented before for oral and/or poster presentations.



For all late-breaking abstracts (submitted on or after 19th July 2017), please kindly be advised on the following terms and conditions:

  1. You will be entitled to standard registration rates
  2. Your abstract/s will be considered for poster presentation only
  3. Your abstract/s will not be considered for Asian Pacific Society of Hypertension Young Investigator Award (APSH YIA) and International Society of Hypertension Young Investigator Award (ISH YIA)
  4. Your abstract/s for poster presentation will be considered for Singapore Hypertension Society Young Investigator Awardsß (SHS YIA) - applicable for Singapore Investigators only (please click here for more details)


  1. Types of Presentation
    1. Poster Presentations 
      There will be a dedicated area for posters and ample breaks during the programme for interaction with poster presenters.
  2. Abstract Receipt Confirmation
    1. Upon successful submission, authors will receive an automated acknowledgement via email.
    2. Lack of acknowledgement will indicate that the abstract was not received. Please contact us if the abstract you submitted is not followed by an acknowledgement.
    3. Abstracts must be received by:
      • Thursday, 31 August 2017
    4. Abstracts received after this date will not be accepted.
  3. Notification of Acceptance
    1. The Presenting Author of each abstract accepted will be notified by email. There will be two notification dates depending on when the abstract is submitted.
      • Monday, 11 September 2017
    2. It may also be found on “Abstract Page” of the Congress website. Simply logon using your userid and password to view your abstract.
  4. Publication
    1. Upon acceptance of your abstract, the presenting author must register for the conference to present at the Poster Presentation.
    2. The abstract will be published on the Congress Website and Congress Mobile App only if the presenting author is registered, and full payment received by Monday, 18 September 2017.
    3. Abstracts will be published as submitted.

  1. All abstracts must be submitted via the Congress Website ONLY
  2. Abstracts must be in English only.
  3. Describe the objectives and results of the research in the abstract so that the Scientific Committee of APCH 2017 can evaluate the quality, originality, and completeness of the abstract.
  4. Please note that your submission must be completed before the submission deadline to be considered for the congress.
  5. After submission of abstract and before the closing date, you may continue to edit the abstract. No editing of the submitted abstract will be allowed after the closing date.
  6. Abstracts will be judged solely on the basis of the data submitted in the abstract.
  7. Total word count of not more than 300 words for each abstract
    1. Abstract is to be submitted online at: www.apch2017.org
    2. List no more than 8 individual authors/co-authors for each abstract
    3. The name of the institution(s) to which the work should be attributed; the department which the authors/co-authors are working with, city and the country; and the contact information i.e., e-mail address of first author/presenter as well as all the co-authors.

Please indicate your sub-theme upon submission of abstract. The abstract should be 300 words or less and submitted in a structured format with complete sentences.


Please make the abstract as informative as possible, and support your conclusions with data. Abstracts should be structured to include the following four sections:

  1. Objective: indicates the purpose of the study
  2. Method: describe pertinent experimental procedures
  3. Results: summarize the results of the research
  4. Conclusions: states the main conclusions
  5. Please use standard abbreviations, generic drug names, and place unusual abbreviations or acronyms in parentheses after first use. Do NOT identify author(s) or institution(s) in the text.
