Mr Robert Soo
Owner, Cogent Acoustics
Robert Soo has been in the music and audio industry since the mid '80s, where his work involved studio recording, music arrangement, stage performances and eventually in live performance engineering and system design.
In recognition of his contributions, he was elected Chairman and Advisor of the Audio Engineering Society in Singapore in year 2000. Having served as Technical Director of two theatres for over 7 years during the ‘90s, he was subsequently invited by a US multi-national company to join their Research & Development group in developing their professional microphones and audio devices.
After more than 10 years, heading the R&D group and with several design patents under his belt, Robert then set up Cogent Acoustics, a consultancy firm that provides AV & Acoustics System Design and Training Services.
Throughout his entire career, he has conducted numerous seminars and workshops and consults for many commercial, educational institutions and houses of worship.
