Research Background:

The Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19) outbreaks from mainland China. The hospital cooperated with the Kaohsiung City Government Health Bureau's epidemic prevention policy in January this year (2020). Also the first hospital under the Ministry of Health and Welfare to carry out the anti-epidemic control measures includes:access control、conduct temperature monitoring、check entry and exit records about entrants’ travel history、entrants wear a medical mask throughout and hands disinfection with alcohol.

Research purposes:

To understand the relationship between people's health literacy of epidemic prevention and people's satisfaction with the implementation of epidemic prevention measures in this hospital.

Research methods:

This is a cross-sectional Research. The research object is the people who enter the hospital to see the doctor and accompany the visit. Survey the entrants on anti-epidemic prevention health literacy and the satisfaction about anti-epidemic prevention measures with structured questionnaire. The questionnaire includes:

(1). Basic information

(2). Anti-epidemic prevention health literacy meter (Using Likert 4 points scale).

(3). The anti-epidemic prevention satisfaction (Using Likert 5 points scale).

Research result:

The period of this Research was from March 1, 2020 to March 15, 2020, with a total of 246 valid samples. The Research has found that the prediction and regression analysis of anti-epidemic prevention satisfaction and health literacy, gender, age, education level(R²=0.30,F=30.19,p<0.001). It implies the regression equation: the anti-epidemic prevention satisfaction=-0.89+1.34(anti-epidemic prevention health literacy)+0.06 (gender)+0.02(age)+0.05(education level).

Research conclusion:

Through anti-epidemic prevention health literacy, gender, age, and education level, the ability to predict anti-epidemic prevention satisfaction is up to 30%. The Research found that women, the older the age, the higher the education level, the higher the anti-epidemic prevention health literacy, the higher the epidemic prevention satisfaction. The main factor is the impact of anti-epidemic prevention health literacy on anti-epidemic prevention satisfaction. Therefore, it is recommended to enhance the anti-epidemic prevention health literacy, which should greatly reduce the complaints of the entrants and increase their willingness to cooperate with the hospital's anti-epidemic prevention measures.
