Abstract Content (abstracts should be written in Size 11 font, Arial font style) • Introduction The pharmaceutical information service which includes drug profiles, additional information and health education is provided by the department of pharmacy. While administrating medication, nursing personnel are able to directly connect all the drug profiles on the hospital website from their nursing information system. Therefore, the survey aims to investigate the satisfaction and suggestion of the pharmaceutical information service. Furthermore, as a reference of improvement. • Methods All nursing personnel with different backgrounds in the hospital are invited to participate. The survey is divided in three sections which are drug profiles, additional information and health education, allowing participants to choose the conditions, rate the satisfaction 1 to 10 and also submit suggestions respectively. The data is collected and analyzed with Google forms. • Results Of the total 344 nursing personnel, 77 completed the survey, representing a 22.4% participation rate overall. Of the 77 participants, 9 (11.7%) reported to be supervisors. Within three sections, the drug profiles satisfies the majority with a 7.9 mean score and is the most frequently used with a 20.8% usage rate on a daily basis; however the others merely 2.6%. On the drug profiles, side effects and appearance are the most frequently checked, 93.5% and 90.9%, respectively; next, precautions (89.6%); indications (70.1%), subsequently. Besides, there are 10 suggestions in total, including 9 for the drug profiles. • Discussion The result indicates the drug profiles is highly required on a daily basis since nursing personnel are able to directly connect it on the hospital website from their nursing information system. In contrast, the additional information and health education are used only for the special occasion. It is suggested that the whole pharmaceutical information service should be integrated with the nursing information system. In addition, whether the pills are available in divided powders will be added on the drug profiles soon. |
