Abstract Content (abstracts should be written in Size 11 font, Arial font style) • Introduction/Background/Questions Care for a woman who has a high blood sugar due to obesity to undergo bariatric surgery, with poor eating habits, insufficient exercise leading to obesity and a lack of confidence to maintain a healthy life. • Description of objectives/methods/interventions With the goal of Pender's concept of health promotion, cross-theoretical behavior change models are used to help rebuild lives on a case-by-case basis, learn to self-management , and achieve health maintenance goals with behavior modification. • Results (effect/impact/change) After intervention and follow-up with six months, the case successfully established healthy eating habits and continuous exercise of life patterns. The weight not only reduced from 85.7 kg to 67 kg, but also didn’t regain. On the other hand, the HbA1c was reduced from 8.5 % to 6.1 %, and stable control of other medical diseases.
• Discussion/Conclusion/Lessons learned The results of observation after intervention with health behavior change strategies not only enhances healthy literacy and skills of individual diet and regular exercise, but also integrates into a part of case life, helps to solve health problems on their own and becomes effective self-management in life. |
