Background. Drank alcohol at some point in their lifetime reported 86.3 percent of patients with ages 18 and or older, 70.0 percent of them drank in the past year[1]. The problems associated with alcohol consumption in Mongolia are remained strong desire or urge, health problems, social problems, and others expressing concern[2]. Well known a “silent killer” is concealed behind of the person with low health literacy[3]. Objective: Assess mental health literacy degree among patients with alcohol addiction is objective of this study. Materials and methods: Total 230 patients with addiction due to use of alcohol involved in this study at Hypnosis med clinic. The statistical analysis is employed in CI at P<0.05 and RR=p1/p2)[4]. Results: Out of total 230 patients; 206 (89.57%) CI[80,79-98,31] responded “I got awareness alcohol harmfulness many times” to question did you obtain any information about alcohol harmfulness; 178 (77.39%) CI [69,81-84,98]) responded “I know its harmfulness” to question did you understand alcohol harmfulness; 129 (56.09%) [50,59-61,58] responded “However I know its harmfulness I could not interpret its consequences, a mean never think I’m a patient with addiction” to question did you assess your understanding; and 106 (46.9%)[41,57-50,60] responded “I quitted alcohol use twice” to question did you quit alcohol drinking in the past year. Conclusion: Roll out evidence based different psychology counselling is required for patients with alcohol addiction based on the findings through simplified questionnaire at 4 level abilities of the mental health literacy reflected in addiction.
